Penguin Book Cover Competition Submission

Each year, Penguin Book Publishing request designers to create a new, interesting cover for a range of 3 books for an opportunity to get the new cover printed and placed on shelves.

This year I had designed a book jacket cover for the book ‘The Night Manager’, a crime novel with a twist which differentiates itself from your typical crime novel.

For the cover, I researched the book, as well as its previous covers and took my design in a direction it hadn’t been taken to before, using metaphorical photography which intrigues people to figure out the hidden messages laced into the cover by giving it a read, which previous covers struggled to do.
